If you want to be my study partner then we can plan for the lab exam and also can plan for the further studies . So pleasr let me know that how much have you prepared for the Lab and how much have you covered the Lab course outline. So could we start the journey in a good manner.

I’ve heard the IE COD’s the ccie CBT nugets and few other vendors like IP Expert voice lectures too and I have done the both the IGP and BGP, QoS, IP Services, Security and now I am doing Multicasting and alter that IPv6, I have revised these topics several times. I am using the Vendors Nerbik, IE and IP Expert workbooks. Practicing the Lab initially on dynamips (GNS3), but will soon get a reck on rent.

I have just started to study for the CCIE lab, I hold a CCNA, CCNP, CCIP Certifications, I had passed the CCIE Written Exams in November 2007, which today has expired, I am preparing for both the retake of the CCIE written and the CCIE Lab examinations concurrently. I have gone through Etnernet switching, Frame Relay and RIP Topics,I am using the Vendors Narbik, IE Expert workbooks. I am practicing the Lab with dynagen-dynamips, dynamips (GNS3) when at home, and I use a live Rack in the office.

I am joing you. I am preparing for CCIE R&S. Note sure if you guys aware of this, from Feb 2009 they have started asking 5 question before you start your lab exam

http://www.test4site.com/

5 Core Knowledge questions are not multiple choice, but instead require a short answer to be manual typed out by the candidate. Additionally, this section must be completed before proceeding onto the traditional configuration portion of the exam, candidates may not return to the short answer questions once they have begun the configuration portion of the exam, and no additional resources such as the Cisco documentation are available during the section. Most importantly, this section is manually graded by the exam proctors as pass or fail only. Candidates who answer more than one question incorrectly in the Core Knowledge section automatically fail the entire lab exam, even if they passed the configuration and troubleshooting portions of the exam!

Can’t understand why distance or location is a limiting factor in today’s world and technologies.

I’ve got a small group assembled for the v4.0 and I’m planning on using some other skills I have with a couple of well-known technolgoies to try to enhance our real-time ability to discuss and collaborate issues and our experiences.

It’s an experiment. No doubt. But I’m thinking it will help keep the group a little more active and motivated.
